The fitness hacks you need to know

If, like most of us, your fitness game consists of "I'll get back on it tomorrow (again)" then you need to read these fitness hacks.

We feel ya... Gyms are boring, you don't wanna be seen a red sweaty mess, you've already eaten a family size bag of peanut M&Ms so what's the point, you're tired and busy....the excuses are endless. Lucky for you, we've got a few hacks to make "fitness" less hard work.

1. Find your squad

It makes sense that if fitness becomes your social time, you'll be WAY more likely to actually do it. Squats don't seem so bad when you can catch up on last night's gossip at the same time...

2. Make it not fitness

Ok...so you can't escape the sweat. But, you can combine fitness with something slightly more enjoyable so you've got something to look forward to. If you're training in your squad, go for brunch after! Treat yourself to a blowdry, or even a (well-deserved) cheeky drink.

At Vlique, we've partnered with brands from brunch spots (like Grind in London) and FaceGym on Kings road to combine fitness with the stuff you actually enjoy....

3. Have someone tell you what to do

That horrible feeling when you walk into the gym and get confronted by grunting meatheads with no idea what you're supposed to do and like EVERYONE is watching. Get rid of it by having a personal trainer actually tell you what to do so you never have to feel like the new id at school ever again. This also means you're held accountable for turning up AND get tailored advice specific to whatever you want to achieve and ensure you don't get injured by using incorrect form.

4. Find your motivation

We don't mean "to get instagram-skinny". Soz hun, it needs to get a bit deeper than that if you're going to find your REAL motivation. The key here is to ask "why?" So you want to lose weight? Ask yourself why. Is it so you can get up the stairs without getting out of breath? Is it to feel more confident in those jeans? Find your 'WHY', and make sure you put reminder of it somewhere you'll see! Try a sticky note on the mirror or a reminder on your phone.

5. Make it FIT your life (see what we did there...)

Something that often gets in the way is when you're travelling or got a busy day running all over town and you just can't get to your normal gym. That's why we created Vlique, so that you can book personal training sessions near you, on demand. Got an hour spare? Check out what's going on. In a new city? Don't waste a load of time trying to get day passes, just log in and see what's going on, no contracts, no passes.

6. Get inspired

Use FOMO to your advantage by following your favourite fitness bloggers and 'grammers. Guaranteed if your newsfeed is full of sweaty selfies you'll be feeling like you've got to get down to the gym asap. Better still, you can event train with influencers and pro-athletes near you on Vlique so you can meet your inspirations in real life!
